Cork is a “warm”, durable, beautiful and, unfortunately, underestimated material. Most of us use it only as a substrate for laminate and parquet boards. Meanwhile, the scope is much wider. For example, cork shows itself perfectly as a wall covering.

Cork oak bark is a rare, expensive and difficult raw material to process, but this production was and remains profitable. It's all about the amazing properties of the final material. The closed cell structure makes cork a good heat insulator, but this is not the only plus. Despite its woody nature, cork is virtually indestructible. The reason is the high content of tannin (a natural antiseptic) and the almost complete absence of protein, which serves as food for harmful microorganisms.
